Slender plants from Peru, South America.

Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1983 as a rooted cutting. Flowers approx. 4cm. long, 3cm. diameter are produced in late summer and remain open for about two days.

Kept moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 50- 55degrees F.

Original plant discarded in 2001, having outgrown it's available space. Cuttings now rooted and growing on. This is the first of the two taken to flower.
