Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1985 as a small seedling.

Flowers approx. 2cm. diameter (3.5 cm. fully open) are produced in midsummer and remain open for two or three days.

Kept slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 40 - 45 degrees F.
