Compact offsetting plant with a large taproot from Mexico and Texas, USA.

Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery as a small seedling in 1983.

Flowers approx. 2.5cm. diameter are produced in spring and remain open for about three days.

Kept very slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 45 - 50 degrees F.

Grown in a clay long tom pot to afford adequate root room.
