Compact plant from South America. (Can anyone tell me where Tarabuco is please?)

Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1986 .

Flowers approx. 6.5cm. long and diameter are produced in early summer and remain open for only one or two days.

Kept slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 45 - 50 degrees F.
