Very small, slow growing plants from Argentina, South America.

Plant raised from habitat collected seed obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1981.

Flowers 5cm. long, 4.5cm. diameter are produced in late spring and remain open for up to twelve days.

Kept almost dry in winter at a minimum temperature of 50 degrees F.
