Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery as a small seedling in 1987.

Flowers 4cm. long, 4.5cm. diameter are produced in early summer and remain open for two or three days.

Kept slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 40 - 45 degrees F.
