Compact plants from Mexico, Central America.

Plant raised from seed obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1986. Flowers approx. 2cm. long, 4.5cm. diameter are produced in spring and remain open for about five or six days.

Kept slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 45 - 50 degrees F.
