Shrubby epiphytes from Mexico, Central America.

Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1981 as a rooted cutting. Flowers approx. 6cm. long, 7cm. diameter are produced in spring and remain open for about three or four days.

Kept watered throughout the year at a minimum winter temperature of 45 - 50 degrees F.
