Compact mound forming plant from Mexico, Central America.

Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1978 as a small seedling.

Flowers approx. 1.5cm. diameter are profusely produced in spring and remain open for five days.

Kept slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 40 - 45 degrees F.
