Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1979 as a small seedling.

Flowers approx. 2.5cm. long, 4cm. diameter are produced in spring and remain open for four days.

Kept slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 40 - 45 degrees F.
