Compact floriferous plant from Peru and Bolivia, South America. Plant raised from seed obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1979. Flowers approx. 6.5cm. long, 5cm. diameter are produced in spring and remain open for about four days. Kept slightly moist in winter at a min. temperature of 45 to 50 degrees F. (7 to 10 degrees C.)
