Wavy ribbed plants from Mexico, Central America.

Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1986 as a small seedling. Flowers approx. 3cm. long, 4cm. diameter are produced in early spring and remain open for about three or four days.

Kept slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 50degrees F.
