Superb hooked spined plants from Mexico, Central America.

Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1980 as a small seedling.

Flowers approx. 2.5cm. long, 3.5cm. diameter are produced in early spring. Flowers open in mid morning and close in the late afternoon for about three days.

Kept dry in winter at a minimum temperature of 50 degrees F.
