Choice compact opuntia from the West Indies.

Plant obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1984 as a propagation from material collected at Jimenez, Cuba. Flowers approx. 4cm. diameter are produced in midsummer and remain open for about two or three days.

Kept slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 40 - 45 degrees F.
